FOREST PARK — Clayton County Chamber of Commerce will hold its May Early Bird Breakfast meeting at the Farmers Market to highlight its economic impact on the area.
The guest speaker will be Matthew Kulinski, deputy director of the marketing division of the Georgia Department of Agriculture. The meeting will be held at Oakwood Cafe at 16 Forest Parkway. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. The cost is $15 per member and member guest and $25 for non-members.
At more than 150 acres, the Atlanta State Farmers Market hosts more than 3,500 visitors daily. It features wholesale and retail activities, restaurants, a garden center, welcome center and a United States Department of Agriculture federal-state office.
Chamber Events and Program Manager Jessica Kinard said the market is a perfect place to showcase the potential for expanding sales of the state's agriculture products.
"As the diversity of Georgia's farm products increase, so do new opportunities for expanding sales of the state's commodities," she said. "Join us to hear how this growth helps the Atlanta State Farmer's Market economic impact in Clayton County and Georgia."
SunTrust Bank has served as sponsor of the Early Bird Breakfast Series for eight consecutive years.
