Jane M. Gorman, 77, of Jonesboro passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013. Mrs. Gorman was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Roy Emory Gorman; sister Mary Hutchenson and brother Bobby McGregor. Jane is survived by her two loving daughters, Cheryl (Wilson) Payne of Wingo, Ky., Teresa Gorman and her fiancé, Steve Lowry of Jackson; three grandchildren, Ashlee (Tony) Merritt, Jessica (Ned) Gable and Renee Payne; six great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Koenig, Bryson Merritt, Brindley Gable, Justin Rogers and Tyler Rogers and Cheyenne Merritt; brother Jimmy McGregor of McDonough; five sisters, Betty Steadham of Riverdale, Jackie Williams of Acworth, Kay Watson of Fayetteville, Florrie Abbott of Fayetteville and Frances Trent of Florida. A graveside service is planned 11:30 a.m., Thursday, May 30, at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro with Rev. Ervin Pearre officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday, May 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Tara Garden Chapel. Mrs. Gorman was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.
