M.D. Roberts defeats Eddie White for football title

M.D. Roberts capped its undefeated season with a 20-8 win over previously unbeaten Eddie White Academy in the Clayton County Middle School Football Championship game.

The Rams won the title for the first time since the 2005 season as they finished with a 9-0 record under coach Rosby Johnson.

Roberts running back Jamari Adderly provided the offensive firepower for the team with two touchdowns.

It was the second time in four years that White played in the title game, and finished runner-up again. Clayton News Daily sports editor Derrick Mahone was at Twelves Oaks Stadium to capture some of the images from the title game.
