Full Moon Night Hike

Visitors have the chance to hike to the top of Panola Mountain by moonlight Saturday, Nov. 16 at 5 p.m. Hikers should bring flashlights, hiking boots and water. Gift of Lights

The Atlanta Motor Speedway will once again turn into the areas biggest drive-through Christmas lights park. Gates open at 6 p.m. every evening with closing at 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Gates close at 10 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and holidays — including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. Yule Log Celebration

Reynolds Nature Preserve will host their annual Yule Log Celebration Dec. 6. Music will be provided by Forest Park High School orchestra, refreshments, face painting and ornament making. Storyteller Barry Mann will lead visitors along a candlelit path through the woods for a bonfire and stories of holiday’s past. The event is free and shuttle service will be provided from Babb Middle School.

A job fair is being hosted by the 3rd Medical Command Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Fort Gillem enclave in Forest Park.
