With prices as low as $2, the ornaments are some of the most affordable items in the market. JONESBORO — It may not fly, but a pig in downtown Jonesboro sure has earned its wings.
The little pink porker, which was made from an old propane tank, has a pair of sheet metal wings sprouting from its back and nuts for eyes. It has a short stout nose and flopping sheet metal ears.
It’s one of the many hand-made products on sale at Mistletoe Market, which is open through Dec. 23 at the Arts Clayton Gallery, 136 South Main St. Everything in the shop — whether it is decorative garden pieces, paintings, clothing, candles, tile art, figurines, jewelry, lamps or honey and sauces — is made by Georgia artists for the store.
Anyone looking to add an artistic touch to their Christmas trees this year can find ornaments for as little as $2. Many items in the store can be had for under $50 but framed artwork costs more, with prices beginning around $100.
The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
