Gift of Lights

The Atlanta Motor Speedway will once again turn into the areas biggest drive-through Christmas lights park. Gates open at 6 p.m. every evening with closing at 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Gates close at 10 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and holidays — including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. Yule Log Celebration

Reynolds Nature Preserve will host their annual Yule Log Celebration Dec. 6. Music will be provided by Forest Park High School orchestra, refreshments, face painting and ornament making. Storyteller Barry Mann will lead visitors along a candlelit path through the woods for a bonfire and stories of holiday’s past. The event is free and shuttle service will be provided from Babb Middle School.

Tree Lighting Ceremony

The city of Riverdale is hosting their annual tree lighting concert and holiday celebration Dec. 7 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Ampitheater at the Riverdale Town Center. The center is located at 7200 Church Street. Call 770-909-5300 for more information.

Job Fair

A job fair is being hosted by the 3rd Medical Command Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Fort Gillem enclave in Forest Park.
