Mrs. Nell Hancock

Mrs. Nell Hancock, age 85 of Hampton, Ga., passed away, Nov. 24, 2013. She was the wife of Dr. Raymond Hancock. They were married for 66 years. She was a Pastor’s wife, Adult Ladies Bible Teacher, and a Ladies Conference Speaker for over 60 years. They have served the Lord together in ministry. Nell is the mother of four children, Daniel Hancock of Stone Mountain, Ga., Earnest Dale (Joy) Hancock of N.C., Donna (Gil) Via of Va., Linda (Joe) James of Fla., 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle in Jonesboro, Ga. She will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in McDonough, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Norma H. Baker

Mrs. Norma H. Baker, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 at Brightmoor Nursing Center.

Mrs. Baker was born in Oolitic, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude Hubert Hildum and Cora Anderson Hildum. Mrs. Baker was a member of Griffin First Assembly and Rex World Out Reach.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, William L. Baker; children, William L. Baker II, Candice Garrett and husband, Rick, Kelly Baker and wife, Karla and Apollo, Betsy Marshall and husband, Todd, Amanda Baker; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Don Hildum; sister, Lattie J. Garfola; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Conner- Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel at 12 p.m. Reverend Paul Glass and son, Kelly Baker will officiate. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.

Mr. John W. Camp, Sr.

Mr. John W. Camp, Sr., age 71 of Blairsville, passed away, Nov. 22, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; children; Beth (Bill) Camp Hembree, John W. (Zandra) Camp, Jr., Gary (Tammy) Hill, Jennifer Hill Layland; brother, Alfred A. (Nancy) Camp; sister, Merilyn (Richard) Acree and 10 grandchildren. Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Albert Terrell Sosebee

January 12, 1929 – November 23, 2013

Mr. Albert Terrell Sosebee age 84, of Griffin passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013.

Mr. Sosebee was born in White County, Georgia. He is preceded in death by parents, Joe and Mae Sosebee, his wife, Barbara Sue Sosebee, son, Geary Sosebee, daughter, Dianne Cassell. He was retired from Sosebee Wrecker Service.

Survivors include, son and daughter-in-law, David and Angela Sosebee; granddaughter, Barbara Irby and husband Robert; daughter-in-law, Mary Sosebee; sister, Paula Underwood; brother, Dwight Sosebee; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Conner- Westbury Funeral Home Interment followed in Sherwood Gardens in Jonesboro. Reverend Dennis Bellamy officiated.
