Jonesboro to address lawnmowers, tutorial center at work session

JONESBORO — The Jonesboro City Council will have a light agenda when it meets for its monthly work session Monday.

The council will discuss the purchase of two lawn mowers for the city public works department. A copy of the meeting agenda shows funding for the lawn mowers will come from Jonesboro’s cemetery fund.

The council will also discuss a conditional use request from David Walker and Bobby Farmer for a tutorial center they wish to have built at 216 North McDonough St.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Jonesboro Police Headquarters, 170 South Main St. The public will be allowed to comment on each items as it is discussed by the council. Items discussed at the work session will be voted upon during the Dec. 9 business meeting.
