JONESBORO — Clayton County residents are invited to come together to celebrate unity today when Mundy’s Mill High School holds its homecoming festivities.
As part of the homecoming festivities, the school will host a Community Celebration Day with promotional flyers placing an emphasis on the “unity” in “community.” There will also be a homecoming parade at 9 a.m., starting at the corner of Tara Boulevard and Fayetteville Road in Jonesboro. The parade will travel west on Fayetteville Road and end at the school, 9652 Fayetteville Road.
The school’s students, faculty, JROTC program, band and athletic teams will be joined by county police, fire fighters, sheriff’s deputies, food and merchandise vendors, a DJ, face painters, horseback riders and the school’s community partners during the celebration. There will also be a special recognition ceremony for military veterans immediately after the parade.
