Clayton County Board of Education to meet in work session Monday

JONESBORO — The Clayton County Board of Education is planning to review bids on asbestos abatement at three local schools.

The governing body’s work session agenda lists bids for asbestos removal at Kilpatrick, Lee Street and Suder elementary schools. Textbook adoption proposals for fine arts are also listed on Monday’s agenda.

The board will receive updates on its special purpse local option sales tax-funded construction projects, its eSPLOST and its Career Technical and Agricultural Education programs. Reports on the district’s purchasing, financing, SPLOST IV revenues and personnel changes are also expected.

The board work session is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at the Clayton County Public Schools Administrative Complex, 1058 Fifth Ave. in Jonesboro. The November board meeting is set for the following Monday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m.
