Georgia State Fair
The Georgia State Fair will feature more rides, more attractions and more free shows at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 to 12, $5 for seniors over 60 and children under 4 are free. All concerts, shows and special events are included in the price of admission. Parking is free. Wristbands can be purchased for $20 per day and is good for unlimited rides on the midway. Military discounts are also offered to active duty personnel. Price is $5 and must accompany a military ID.

16th annual Veterans Day luncheon
The Clayton County Chamber of Commerce, Military Affairs Council is hosting a Veterans Day luncheon at the Georgia International Convention Center, 2000 Convention Center Concourse, College Park, at 11:30 a.m. Keynote speaker is Maj. The Kiwanis Club of Forest Park is hosting a pancake breakfast Nov. 2 from 8 to 11 a.m. in the Kiwanis Club building at 752 Main Street in Forest Park. Menu includes pancakes, bacon, sausage, coffee, milk and orange juice. Cost is $5.
Sixth annual Lake Spivey Road Race

The Headquarters Library of Clayton County is hosting a musical performance by the Charles High School Orchestra featuring the Titan String Quartet, Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Yule Log Celebration
Reynolds Nature Preserve will host their annual Yule Log Celebration Dec. 6. Music will be provided by Forest Park High School orchestra, refreshments, face painting and ornament making. Storyteller Barry Mann will lead visitors along a candlelit path through the woods for a bonfire and stories of holidays past. The event is free and shuttle service will be provided from Babb Middle School.
