JONESBORO — Got old stuff?
Clayton County 4-H has announced it is seeking vendors for its upcoming yard sale fundraiser. That means they need people to sign up to sell things such as old children’s toys, books, clothes, jewelry items and picture frames.
The sale will be held Sept. 28 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Clayton County 4-H office, 1262 Government Circle in Jonesboro.
Vendor fees are $25 for a single space and $40 for a double space. In addition to the fee, vendors will be required to donate 10 percent of their proceeds to the 4-H.
Items to be sold at the yard sale must receive prior approval from 4-H officials. They will reject food, knives, mattresses, guns, ammunition, undergarments, lingerie, adult-oriented “toys,” alcohol, tobacco and hazardous chemicals.
The 4-H is a nationwide youth-oriented community service organization. In Georgia, it is offered through a partnership with the University of Georgia’s Cooperative Extension Service.
Call the 4-H at 770-473-3946 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. to sign up as a vendor.
