ATLANTA A girl has to look good at work.
Some women don’t want their coworkers to see them looking like a hot mess. They want to look professional, but at the same time they don’t want to give up being fashionable from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on a weekday.
And the same goes for their after-hours lives when they don’t have to don the power suits. Nobody wants to look like $5. They always want to look like $1 million.
With that in mind, local female celebrities will strut their stuff on the catwalk Nov. 3 for a fashion show benefiting the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business mentoring program. McNair Productions founder Kim McNair, author Lucille O’Neal and Just for You Women’s Healthcare owner Dr. Lorie Johnson are producing the show.
The theme will be “Walk Like You Have Somewhere To Go,” and the doors will open at 6 p.m. for the event. Courtney A. Hammonds, academic program coordinator at the Art Institute of Atlanta-Decatur, will be the emcee. It will take place at the Westin Atlanta Airport Hotel, 4736 Best Road in Atlanta.
