After taking another visit to Alabama over the weekend, Lovejoy defensive back Montrell Custis decided that the SEC powerhouse would be a good fit.
Custis decommitted from Kentucky and committed to the Crimson Tide on Monday afternoon.
"I'm blessed and honored to have the opportunity to go to Alabama," Custis said Monday evening when reached by cellphone. "Kentucky has a great coaching staff, and I feel it is a great program."
Custis, an all-county selection at Lovejoy this past season, which reached the second round of the Class AAAAAA playoffs, committed to Kentucky on Nov. 10. He was the Wildcats first commitment of the 2015 recruiting class.
"It was pretty difficult decision to decommit, but I feel like I've made the right decision," said Custis, who had visited Alabama on Junior Day and also attended a spring practice session.
With Custis' decommitment, it leaves Kentucky with five commitments in their 2015 recruiting class.
"The Kentucky coaches took it well, they understood it was a business decision," Custis said.
