Morrow calls meeting to nominate future police chief

MORROW — The mayor and council will hold a special called meeting Aug. 5 to announce the nomination for the police chief position.

Morrow officials released the names of its final three candidates July 15 after receiving 25 applications for the position when it opened its search on April 17. The applications were then reviewed by both an outside panel of law enforcement officers and a citizens panel.

Since July 15, the final three candidates have been interviewed by City Manager Ronnie Few as well as mayor and council.

After the nomination of the police chief, council will also discuss ammending two sections of the city’s code.
