Lovejoy FallFest set Sept. 13

LOVEJOY — Area families are invited to join the festivities Sept. 13 in downtown Lovejoy.

Organizers are planning the city’s annual FallFest to be held at the Lovejoy Community Center, 11622 Hastings Bridge Road.

The event is from 1 to 9 p.m. and will feature live entertainment, vendors, games and prizes.

“The festival committee promises attendees won’t be disappointed,” said spokeswoman Kaycia Rhone.

Rhone said entertainment will include music genres for jazz lovers, rhythm-and-blues enthusiasts and gospel fans. She said festival favorite Ken Ford, “The King of Strings,” will return to perform this year.

On-site vendors will provide foods such as hamburgers, barbecue, frozen treats and fresh-squeezed lemonade. There will also be craft vendors, carnival-style games and a puppet show.
