HAMPTON — The search for a missing Hampton woman stretched into Monday morning as police disbanded their mobile command post and began looking for her in Clayton County.
Henry County Police Sgt. Joey Smith said Sunday is not the first time Stephanie Tyree, 44, has gone missing.
She was reported missing a few hours after she walked away from her Pates Lake Way residence about 11 a.m. Sunday, police said.
Tyree’s disappearance was listed as “critical” because she is without her medication. Smith said there was no evidence of foul play.
She was also reported missing in July of 2013 after an argument with her mother, according to a police report. She was picked up by a Lake City Police officer and taken to a homeless shelter at her request.
She is described as 5 feet tall, with brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a dark blue fleece jogging suit.
Anyone with information concerning Tyree’s whereabouts,is asked to contact Det. T. Webster at 770‐288‐8262 or call 911.
