DAR ‘Good Citizen’ recipient helps with blanket project

Joyce Hagans, center, the Augustin Clayton Daughters of the American Revolution chapter’s Good Citizen Award recipient for Lovejoy High School, present handmade blankets to chapter Regent Phyllis Lawson, right. The blankets are for a program the chapter does to provide hand-made blankets for police officers to put in their patrol cars so they can give them to children they encounter at crime scenes. This year, the blankets are being presented to the Clayton County Police Department. Also pictured is Lovejoy’s International Baccalaureate Coordinator, Tanya Finney. (Special Photo)
