Clayton’s Chamber Day at Capitol set for next week

JONESBORO — The Clayton County Chamber of Commerce is inviting its members to see their state leaders at work.

The business group has announced it will hold its third annual Clayton County Chamber Day at the Capitol from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., Feb. 25.

The annual event gives chamber members an opportunity to meet members of the Clayton County Legislative Delegation, watch full sessions of both chambers of the Georgia General Assembly and learn about economic issues which may impact the county.

“Chamber members are invited to participate as this event is a great opportunity to meet with our state leaders during the legislative session,” chamber officials wrote in an email to members. “You will have the chance to see our state government in action and discuss legislative concerns of importance to your business.”

Officials said they will offer transportation between the chamber’s office in Jonesboro and the Capitol on a limited, first-come, first-serve basis. Interested businessmen and women can register for the free event by logging onto claytonchamber.org.

Sponsors of Clayton County Chamber Day at the Capitol include AT&T, Comcast and Georgia Power.
