Black History Cinema

A viewing session for families to promote African American heritage during Black History Month. Free event from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Virginia Burton Gray Recreation Center.

Black History Month Trivia

Visit the Jim Huie Recreation Center from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. for trivia night. Come enjoy food, prizes and much more and test your Black History knowledge. This is a program for families of all ages. Registration is free at Jim Huie Rec Center.

Teen Summit

The Teen Summit will educate, empower, and encourage teens. Guest speakers, educational vendors, vocational vendors, and lunch will be provided. FREE event from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Virginia Burton Gray Recreation Center.

Atlanta Audubon Society Bird Walk

Bring binoculars for this gentle hike through Panola Mountain’s Power of Flight area from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Basic identification techniques and common birds will be discusses. Good for all ages. Rangers recommend long pants and sleeves. Meet at the Alexander Lake area. Register in advance. Cost is $5 to park and donation of birdseed is appreciated. Call 770-389-7801 to register.
