Jasper Baker

Jasper Baker, 73, of Zebulon, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 after an extended illness. A private family service will be held at a later date. He was born on August 4, 1940, the son of Joseph Cash Baker and Margaret Elizabeth Alford Baker.

He was a 1958 graduate of Forest Park High School and attended Southern Technical Institute and Clayton State College. He was a CPA in private practice in Alpharetta and then in Zebulon after he moved there in 2002 until his retirement in 2008.

He is survived by the love of his life and his everything, Libby Naramore of Zebulon; sisters and their husbands, Pat & Clyde Cooper of Zebulon and Linda & Jon Crouch of Griffin; a brother, Jim Baker of Fayetteville; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Richard L. Comer

Richard L. Comer, age 71, of Locust Grove, GA died Sunday, February 16, 2014. He was born in Atlanta, GA to the late John Thomas and Mildred Comer. Mr. Comer was a Moose Legionnaire with the Henry County Moose Lodge #2170. He is preceded in death by his wife: Christine, and brothers: Eugene and Clarence Comer. He was a long term employee with Eastern Airlines.

Richard is survived by his step-daughters: Stacey (Jim) Skeen, Locust Grove, GA; and Susan Woods, Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren: Tyler Miller, Zachary Skeen, Mikayla Babies; great-granddaughter: Bayleigh Miller; special loved one: Shelbe Gosdin, Locust Grove, GA; brothers: Al (Jeanie) Comer, Denver, CO, and David (Frances) Comer, McDonough, GA; plus many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Henry County Moose Lodge. Rosamond Mitchell Harden

Rosamond Mitchell Harden, Macon Georgia, July 7, 1927 went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Memorial services will be held graveside at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park, Georgia on Friday, February 28 at 2:30 PM, (visitation 12-1:30 PM at funeral home) officiated by Reverend David Hunter. Rosamond was born in Bethany, Missouri but grew up in Barnesville, Georgia where her father, the late Dr. Harvey Raymond Mitchell was pastor of the First Baptist Church. She graduated from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia, and taught school in Griffin, Georgia. She later taught school in Piscataway, New Jersey while her husband Bill was on the engineering school faculty at Rutgers University. They returned to Jonesboro, Georgia where she and Bill were members of Jonesboro First Baptist Church.

Rosamond was a regular Sunday School teacher at First Baptist and very involved in the life of the church. Over the years she and her husband were highly involved in the life of Baptist Village in Waycross, Georgia, where her father, Dr. Harvey Mitchell was the founding organizer and administrator of Baptist Village. Rosamond and Bill moved to Macon from their Lake Spivey home in Jonesboro, Georgia in 2009 to be close to family and joined Tabernacle Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Harvey Raymond Mitchell and Beatrice Parman Mitchell and her brother, John T. Mitchell, Sr. (Johnny).

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, William George Harden, Macon, Georgia and a sister in law, Mary T. Mitchell, Macon, Georgia. Two nephews, John T. Mitchell, Jr. (Lisa), Macon, Georgia, Render (Tee) Terrell Mitchell (Kea) Gainesville, Georgia, and a niece, Mary Eva Mitchell Tredway (Craig), Johns Creek, Georgia. Eight great nieces and nephews; John T. Mitchell III, James Sidney Lanier Mitchell, Mary Elaine Mitchell of Macon; Mary Janell Tredway and Madison Tandy Tredway (Johns Creek, Georgia); Render Terrell (Tee) Mitchell, Jr. Lillian Kea Mitchell and Anna Claire Mitchell, (Gainesville, Georgia); a brother in law, John I. Harden (Lynnell), (Griffin, Georgia), a sister in law Jacquelin Harden (Atlanta, Georgia); two nieces in law Maxine Parrish and Linda Harden (Atlanta, Georgia) and a nephew in law, David Harden (Atlanta, Georgia).
