Clayton State didn’t get the sweep against visiting North Georgia in a key Peach Belt Conference contest at the Athletics Center. The Lakers women’s team got a 88-70 upset against No. 19 North Georgia to win its fourth straight game. Clayton got 22 points and 10 rebounds each from Shacamra Jackson and Andrea Benford in the win. In the men’s game, the Lakers lost 84-81 being up five points with 1:30 remaining in the contest. The men’s team was led by reserve Kelsey Terry, who came off the bench to score a game-high 29 points and grab 10 rebounds in 34 minutes of action. Both teams will be back in action today as they travel to Georgia College for a conference game.
