Two homeless men hurt in shooting

COLLEGE PARK — Clayton County police are looking for a man who targeted two homeless men at a makeshift camp.

Officer Charlene Watson-Fraser said Chun Park, 57, was treated for wounds suffered in Monday’s shooting and has been released from the hospital.

However, Roger Coley, 43, was shot in the head and is in ICU at the hospital, she said. Coley is reportedly alert and talking.

Watson-Fraser said the men were shot at a makeshift homeless camp set up at Ga. 85 and Forest Parkway. Officers responded to the site about 3:48 p.m.

Witnesses told police an unknown man approached their tent and asked for a place to sleep. The man then pulled a semi-automatic handgun, aggressively asking for money, said witnesses.

When the men told him they did not have any money, he opened fire, said Watson-Fraser.

Witnesses told police the man is black, 6 feet tall and 165 pounds with an earring in his right ear. The man had a low haircut and was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt and dark jeans.
