Jesus Christ is the Son of God — Jim Bell
In this week’s lesson, we read of Luke’s account of the Angel Gabriel appearing to a young virgin woman, telling her she had been chosen by God to be the mother of His Son, whom she was to name Jesus.
America needs Christian discipline — Jim Bell
The American culture has changed dramatically in my lifetime, and I think many, if not the majority of these changes, have been detrimental to our society. One of them has been the lack of –– or at least our failure to use –– discipline.
Faith is belief and trust in the truth — Jim Bell
All truths exclude their opposites. For instance, If Christianity is true, then anything opposed to Christianity is false.
Christians are servants of the Lord — Jim Bell
Christians should be willing to perform the most menial services for one another. We should cultivate a servant-attitude in our personalities.
A refreshing experience with our brave soldiers — Jim Bell
One U.S. troop passing through the Atlanta Airport told me a story, about his first day home — he watched the news and saw how they covered the violence and deaths and explosions, and was surprised to learn that was the end of the story, as reported. He said the killing and violence were only a part of the story.
God’s judgment fires are coming — Jim Bell
The Bible says "the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.” In such a time, the only safe place to be is in Jesus Christ. Are you in such a safe place?

My Child ... You may not know me, but I know everything about you (Psalm 139).
Its Thanksgiving Day, not turkey day! — Jim Bell
This Thanksgiving, please observe it as a day of being thankful for all you have, especially your loved ones. And please don’t call it turkey day!
God gives us freedom to choose - Jim Bell
Our lives are shaped by our thoughts. Everything starts in our mind, the way we think determines the way we feel, the way we feel determines how we act — so, if we want to change the way we act or feel — we must change the way we think.
We were created to become like Christ - Jim Bell
God, our Holy Father, wants us (Christians) to spend the rest of our lives developing family characteristics. He wants to make us like Jesus Christ.
We must tell others about our mighty God - Jim Bell
We should know and feel that God wants us to tell others about Him and His Son, Jesus Christ, of Jesus’ birth, life, and His death on the cross, and certainly of His glorious resurrection –– and of how they might be saved as a result.
The Big Bang Theory –– Creation of the universe - Jim Bell
At one time I thought of The Big Bang Theory as something atheists had come up with. I was thinking, God is eternal, Heaven is eternal, so the universe must be eternal as well. I remember saying that The Big Bang Theory was like blowing up a spare-parts store and having it turned into a new Cadillac!
I believe in the God of Creation - Jim Bell
In our postmodern culture today, there are many unbelievers and skeptics who say that God did not create this wonderful world of ours, but that it evolved over the eons of time, that life evolved from single cells or molecules into our present state today. I would have to ask where these “cells” came from?
