Emmeran Bliemel called one of Georgia’s ‘sons of thunder’

Archbishop of Atlanta Wilton Gregory came to Jonesboro Saturday to preside over services that honored the life of Emmeran Bliemel, a Catholic priest who died while serving as a Confederate chaplain at the Battle of Jonesborough.
