Jonesboro clinches school’s first state basketball title March 7, 2014
There should only be 2 that should apologize to the residents of Morrow and that's the City Manager Jeff Eady and our "WELL PAID/OVER PAID" Planning & Economic Development Director Michael McLaughlin... Both stood in front of citizens at meeting and lied to all of us residents of Morrow about fees that are not in effect and tell businesses to move on down the road... I'm wondering what kick back is Eady and McLaughlin giving the rest of the board member's for going against the Mayor??!!! Oh wait its the fees they took from the church!...
Not shocking I guess to see that City Manager wants to get rid of the Mayor after he found out that both city officials lied about the fees they were charging and that they told not 1 but several businesses that they were not welcomed here and to move on. MAYOR BURKE we as citizens of Morrow APPLAUD YOU in your effort to fix these issues and hold others accountable. Mr Eady I was in the meeting the night were YOU yourself lied in front of us all including the council saying those fees were there and was passed by members couple of yrs ago and yet you knew this not to be true and you got BUSTED!
And why is it that McLaughlin has yet to defend himself to the media? He's the highest paid employee and has never made it to a city event.
I'm a resident of the City of Morrow and I have attended several meetings and I think its time for a big change. I believe that its time for the Mayor and Council member's to push for Eady and McLaughlin to resign their positions and leave the city before we have nothing. These two are control freaks and it shows in the way they talk to residents and business owners. The city has nothing here but a community garden and that's it. I do applaud Mayor Burke for standing up for the city. The city got rid of Lampl and now we have two that want to be just like him...
As a resident of the city and has went to several council meeting I do believe its time for a big change in Morrow. I think the residents need to pressure the mayor and council for both Eady and McLaughlin to resign their positions and go somewhere else besides destroying whats left of the city. These 2 have serious power trips and is no different than John Lampl when he was here. In the meetings you can see that Eady does a good job controlling a few members of council. But I have to applaud mayor Burk for standing up for the citizens of Morrow and not allowing Eady to control his role of mayor.
