Lifeline does wonderful work. We have taken about 10 animals to their spay and neuter clinic in College Park. I hope that the community will donate to this effort because we need to get as many shelter animals as possible adopted.
The world is much safer than it has ever been. The average person has a lot less chance of being a victim of violent crime now than years ago. Incidents like this are horrible but we should always be careful not to overreact. There is no reason to bunker down and make our schools inaccessible. If someone is willing to kill like this then they will always find a way. Also, we need to cool it on the gun rehetoric. We do not know what would have happened at Luby's or at any of the other killings if everyone had been carrying weapons.
This idea is almost as bad as the Charley Griswell Senior Center. Why do we keep naming places after horribly failed commissioners?
Did any of you bother to read the article? The article has nothing to do with Animal Control but please do not let that deter you from making one of your anti-government diatribes. The volunteers at the Humane Society are trying to make this a better community. You might want to quit constantly complaining about everything and get out and do something useful.
Southern Regional has been great the times that my family and I have been there. I am glad that they were chosen for the movie.
The Morrow walking trails are great. Last week my wife and I walked about 4 miles on the trails and at Reynolds Nature Preserve. The trails are a great addition for the county.
