NOTICE OF SEIZURE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY VALUED AT $25,000.00 OR LESS PURSUANT TO O.C.G.A. § 9-16-11(a) DA Notice of Seizure # DANOS 2021-009; 21CLT00159 Date Notice Posted 1/19/2021 Seizing Police Agency/Case # Clayton County Police Department / Case No. 20063113 Description of the Property: Two Thousand Three Hundred Sixty Three and XX/100 Dollars ($2,363.00) in United States currency; Samsung cellular phone; and Apple iPhone Date of Seizure: 12/8/2020 Place of Seizure: At or about the intersection of Rex Road at Homestead Drive, Rex, Clayton County, Georgia 30273 Conduct Giving Rise to Forfeiture: On or about 12/8/2020, Antwon Antdroplis Wright was allegedly in possession and/or control of approx. 49 grams of marijuana (packaged in 18 separate bags for distribution) which was found inside of the seized vehicle and in close proximity to the seized currency and phones; and/or the seized property was used or intended to be used in a manner to facilitate a violation of O.C.G.A. § 16-13-30; and/or the seized property is proceeds from a violation of O.C.G.A. § 16-13-30. Alleged Violation(s) of Law: Violations of O.C.G.A. § 16-13-30 Possession of Marijuana More Than Ounce; Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute TO: ANY AND ALL OWNERS OR INTEREST HOLDERS OF THE SEIZED PROPERTY TAKE NOTICE of the above and further notice is hereby given that the owner or interest holder of the above-described seized property has thirty (30) days within which a claim must be served on the state attorney whose name and address is: Karen S. Barbour Assistant District Attorney District Attorney's Office Clayton Judicial Circuit 9151 Tara Boulevard, 4th Floor Jonesboro, GA 30236 Said claim must be served by certified mail or statutory overnight delivery, return receipt requested, and such claim shall be signed by the owner or interest holder and shall provide: (A) The name of the claimant; (B) The address at which the claimant resides; (C) A description of the claimant's interest in the property; (D) A description of the circumstances of the claimant's obtaining an interest in the property and, to the best of the claimant's knowledge, the date the claimant obtained the interest and the name of the person or entity that transferred the interest to the claimant; (E) The nature of the relationship between the claimant and the person who possessed the property at the time of the seizure; (F) A copy of any documentation in the claimant's possession supporting his or her claim; and (G) Any additional facts supporting his or her claim.
