Clayton County Police: Pedestrian killed on I-75 "unidentifiable" African-American male

Clayton County Police are investigating a Dec. 9 hit-and-run victim who can only be identified as an African-American male.

JONESBORO—If you're looking for a job, the Clayton County Police Department will hold a recruiting event for prospective officers.

The event takes place Thursday, June 27 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at CCPD headquarters, 7911 N. McDonough Street in Jonesboro.

All able-bodied men and women of good moral character who are interested in a career in law enforcement are invited. Applicants must be 21 or older, possess a high school diploma or GED, as well as a valid Georgia driver's license. 

The event will include an orientation session, information on available positions and a physical agility assessment, which requires an online pre-application at www.claytonpolice.com

Applicants should be at least 21years of age with a High School diploma or GED and possess a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Recruits start at $39,591.
