RIVERDALE — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says two people in Riverdale were among 11 arrested in connection with a massive anti-gang operation in Vidalia on June 19.

Joseph Eric Long, 43, of East Point and Ahdinah Elisha Smith, 38, of Morrow were arrested in the Riverdale bust. Both are being held in the Clayton County Jail.

Long faces four counts of violating the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, as well as charges of cocaine trafficking, possession of a weapon during commission of a crime, felon with a handgun, and criminal use of an altered identification mark.

Smith is being held on two counts of violating the Georgia Controlled Substances Act and one count of trafficking ecstasy. She was granted $20,000 bond and $2,000 in fees on the VGCSA charges but no bond was granted on the trafficking charge.

The GBI says about 100 local, state and federal law enforcement officers executed a search warrant in Riverdale and multiple warrants in Vidalia, which is in Toombs County in southeast Georgia, as part of “an ongoing multi-agency investigation into drugs, gangs and guns.“

In the raids, officers seized:

♦ about 40 ounces of suspected crack and cocaine;

♦ 74 ounces of ecstasy;

♦ 13.5 ounces of methamphetamine;

♦ 21 ounces of Xanax;

♦ 3.5 ounces of heroin;

♦ 6 pints of codeine;

♦ 130 ounces of marijuana;

♦ seven handguns;

♦ five rifles;

♦ one shotgun;

♦ multiple high-capacity magazines; and

♦ “numerous rounds“ of rifle ammunition.

Officers also seized an undisclosed amount of cash, a Maserati, a Bentley, a Dodge 3500 dually truck and other vehicles during the search.

Agencies involved in the investigation, which was initiated by the Toombs County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with the GBI’s Southeastern Regional Drug Enforcement Office and the Middle Georgia Judicial Circuit DA’s Office, were:

♦ Georgia Department of Community Supervision;

♦ Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms;

♦ Federal Bureau of Investigation Safe Streets Task Force;

♦ Drug Enforcement Administration;

♦ United States Attorney’s Office (Southern District);

♦ Lyons Police Department;

♦ Treutlen County Sheriff’s Office;

♦ Liberty County Sheriff’s Office;

♦ Georgia State Patrol; and

♦ United States Postal Inspection Service.

Others arrested during the operation in Vidalia were Deltinaud Toussaint, 44; Stacy Tyrone Tobler, Sr., 46; Andre Jackson, 29; Ozell Johnson, Jr., 37; Alonzo Neal Roberts Jr., 30; Laporshia A. Canty, 44; Frederick D. Cooper, 39; Roderick Johnson, 31; and Lanard Wallace, 29.
