Family Funday Carnival

Backyard Eventz Carnival Sunday Family Funday is on May 28 from 1 to 8 p.m.
Attendees have the opportunity to enjoy food offerings, listen to music and explore onsite vendors!
Family Funday is at 5735 Hearn Road in Ellenwood.
Tickets are available here.
Admission (if purchased online) is $5 plus tax and fees.
For children 12 years old and under, admission is free.
Memorial Day Observance

A Memorial Day Observance will be held on May 27 starting at 9 a.m. at Georgia National Cemetery.
Georgia National Cemetery has 22 service members that were Killed In-The-Line of Duty (KIA). These 22 KIAs will be honored during this year's ceremony.
At the conclusion of the ceremony guests will be invited to position small American Flags at all gravesites.
Georgia National Cemetery is at 2025 Mt. Carmel Church Lane in Canton.
Please note, due to traffic concerns, those attending are highly encouraged to carpool. Off cemetery parking has been arranged at the Sutallee Baptist Church, 895 Knox Bridge Hwy in White.
Shuttle service will be provided starting at 8 a.m. from the church and will run until 12 p.m.
Save the Canton Theatre Escape Room

Save the Canton Theatre - a Live Mystery Puzzle Game is happening from May 26th to 29th.
Can you save the Historic Canton Theatre in 60 minutes or less? Solve a series of puzzles, find clues, and open lock boxes to reach your objective.
The bank plans to demolish the Historic Canton Theatre and the construction crew is on the way. The late owner's son, Thomas Theodore Arthur Edwards, claims his father left the Theatre to him, but the deed is hidden somewhere in the Theatre. He needs your help to find the document before the demolition begins!
This escape room style puzzle game is a fundraiser for Lolek's Storytellers Theatre Company.

The Ultimate Conyers Bridal Expo is on May 18 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Conyers Georgia's Bridal Expo one stop destination to help you plan for your special day. Come meet all of our talented and professional wedding show vendors. Learn about wedding trends and receive ideas and inspiration from industry professionals that can aid you with planning the dream wedding of a lifetime.
There will be a bridal gown fashion, live entertainment, musical performances, free parking and more.
Each bride-to-be will receive a complimentary swag bag upon entry, to include a Bridal Vendors Magazine and will automatically be registered to win loads of valuable vendor giveaways.

Jackson Hike

The hike is estimated to take about 4 hours to complete, walking at 3 miles per hour for a duration of 11.5 miles.
Anticipated to be a "fast hike," a map of the trail system is available at the trail head should attendees decide to walk at a different pace.
This trail does not have significant climbs or water crossings.
Those wishing to participate are advised to bring water, snacks, sunscreen, hiking poles and bug spray.
The hike is hosted by Macon Outdoors and will begin at 10 a.m. at The Creeks Recreational Trail System at 995 Brownlee Road in Jackson.
Rome-Floyd Library Book Sale

The Children’s Used Book Sale will take place beginning on May 30 and continuing through June 10 at Rome-Floyd County Library.
Books are $0.25 each. Prices will change to $1 per bag on June 7.
Rome-Floyd County Library is at 205 Riverside Parkway.
Rome Board Game Night

Board game night returns on May 27 from 4 to 11 p.m.
Those interested in attending can head to the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham in Rome to play some games.
Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Rome is at 100 W 2nd Avenue.
The event is hosted by Rome Board Gamers.
Alpharetta Arts Streetfest

Alpharetta Arts Streetfest is May 27 and 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Grove at Wills Park.
Alpharetta Arts Streetfest features more than 100 artists from across the U.S. Festival where art enthusiasts can stroll through the outdoor gallery, meet the artists and acquire a piece of original whimsical art.
Festival eats and drinks will be available at the Alpharetta Arts Streetfest, and all food vendors will be adhering to strict health rules as well.
This event is rain or shine.
The Grove at Wills Park is behind the Alpharetta Community Center at 175 Roswell Street in Alpharetta.
