FOREST PARK— Forest Park Police are investigating a body found at Forward Air's regional hub Wednesday evening.
According to Forest Park Police Sgt. Kelli Flanigan, the call to 2750 Southpoint Drive came in around 6 p.m. As of press time, the cause and manner of death were not yet known. Flanagan confirmed that the victim had been found in the bed of a pickup truck and that identification was pending notification of next of kin.
A security supervisor at Forward Air said the terminal manager, who she identified only as “Douglas,” would comment. The supervisor returned with a man who paced back and forth talking on his cell phone for a few minutes, then came to the gate. When asked if he were the terminal supervisor, or whether his name was Douglas, the man refused comment and asked the News to leave the property. The News later confirmed the man was the terminal manager, Douglas Bacallao, from his LinkedIn profile.
Approximately 9:30 p.m., the News saw Forest Park Police supervisors leaving the scene.
