Clayton County Elections Board meets to strike incarcerated felons, deceased voters from rolls

The Clayton County Board of Elections will be cleaning up the rolls at its Sept. 10 meeting.

JONESBORO—The Clayton County Board of Elections and Registration will meet Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 4:30 p.m. at the Old Courthouse to delete unqualified voters from the registration rolls.

The Board is tasked with removing the names of convicted felons currently serving time and people who have died from the election rolls prior to the Nov. 5 election. The director also will make a report.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will take place in the conference room on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse, 121 S. McDonough St. in downtown Jonesboro.

Oct. 7 is the last day to register for the Nov. 5 election. To check your voter registration information, or to register to vote, visit . You also can register to vote in person at any Clayton County library branch or at your local City Hall.

If you have moved or changed your name since you last voted, be sure to update your voter registration record immediately.
