Clayton County Police to discuss Sector 4 crime trends at Chamber of Commerce Sept. 19

Clayton County Police Chief Kevin Roberts will talk with business owners about crime trends in CCPD Sector 4 at the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce, 10 a.m. on Sept. 19.

JONESBORO—The Clayton County Police Department is hosting a meeting for businesses in Sector Four on Sept. 19.

The meeting will take place at 10 a.m. at the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce, 2270 Mt. Zion Road, Jonesboro.

"It's an opportunity for the Police Department and the business community to come together and share information," said Sgt. Cherie West. "We just want to be sure we're keeping that contact with the business community." 

Chief Kevin Roberts will be there, along with other speakers from the department. Topics will include current crime trends in Sector Four, identifying suspicious activity, crime prevention tips, and opportunities to partner with CCPD, followed by a question and answer session.

"We're planning to pull resources from anywhere that can help our businesses," West said, adding that arming business owners with information is one goal of the event.
