JONESBORO — Clayton County school officials have suspended or cancelled all outdoor activities today.
Activities include physical education classes, unstructured play activity, and athletic practices.
District officials said the decision has been made based on a review of weather forecasts and local reports which indicate temperatures and humidity levels will create adverse heat related conditions.
Students and staff are advised to remain indoors in a cool environment. In terms of scheduled athletic events, all high school softball games have been cancelled.
