McDONOUGH — The Southern Crescent is home to two new popular Jamaican-owned restaurants, Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill.
The franchise celebrated June 4 the grand opening of its location at 2047 Mt. Zion Road in Morrow and at 315 Jonesboro Road in McDonough.
According to a press release from the company, Golden Krust is the fastest-growing Caribbean-owned franchise in the U.S. with more than 120 restaurants in nine states. In addition to the two restaurants in Clayton and Henry counties, the company also opened another location in Douglasville.
“These three new locations form part of our aggressive strategy to expand the Golden Krust brand as Georgia has been a strong growth market for the franchise,” Lowell Hawthorne, Golden Krust CEO stated in the press release. “This region has the highest grossing stores per unit, and these three new locations bring our number of Georgia stores to nine.”
