JONESBORO — Arts Clayton Gallery patrons will get a glimpse into member artists’ imaginations with its newest exhibit titled A Moment in Time.

Some 55 pieces featuring several mediums give viewers an opportunity to delve into what time represents to both the artists and themselves.

Also on display in the feature gallery are pieces from Our Lady of Mercy school in Fayetteville. The show is called Believe. Through their works, students demonstrate what they believe in — everything from monster-like beings to religions icons and even Santa Claus.

The exhibits will be on display through Sept. 26.

On Sept. 14, Arts Clayton’s Studio Steam Family Art Workshop will give participants a lesson in the culture of China. Participants will get to learn about terra-cotta soldiers, origami dancing dragons and calligraphy and lantern making. Students will get to design their own Ying Yang. The class will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is required and is $10 per participant. To register, call 770-473-5775

Starting on Oct. 1, the gallery will host the Juried Photography Show & Competition. The opening reception will be on Oct. 11 at 5:30 p.m. during which gallery officials will announce the winners of the show.

Arts Clayton Gallery is located at 136 South Main St. in Jonesboro. For more information, visit www.artsclayton.org or call 770-473-5430.
