No foul play suspected in Forward Air death

Forest Park Police Department supervisors leaving Forward Air Wednesday night. Police say they do not suspect foul play but are withholding the man’s name pending notification of next of kin. The GBI is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

FOREST PARK — Forest Park Police say they do not suspect any foul play in the death of a man found Wednesday evening, Aug. 14, in the cab of a tractor trailer at Forward Air.

According to a press release, officers responded around 6:53 p.m. to 2750 Southpoint Dr. The man was found in the cab and not in the bed of a pickup truck as reported earlier.

The man’s body was transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which will be conducting an autopsy.

Because efforts to notify the man’s next of kin had not been successful as of press time, FPPD is withholding the man’s identity for now.

Company representatives refused comment the night of the incident.
