FOREST PARK – State Rep. Valencia Stovall D-Forest Park, along with Little Ones Learning Center, Hand, Heart and Soul Project, MetroBoyz Entertainment, Forest Park High PTSA and Forest Park High School, will host the third annual Clayton County Back-to-School Block Party on Friday from 4:30 – 7 p.m. at the Forest Park High School Gym in Forest Park.

The event will provide school supplies, free food by the Atlanta Community Food Bank, door prizes, face painting, story-telling and entertainment for Clayton County residents. This year’s event will include the following workshops designed to empower attendees: Sexting/Human Trafficking; Parent Involvement; Dual Enrollment; English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL); Financial Literacy; and Early Learning.

“The new school year is upon us, and our community partners have united once again to provide our students and their families with much needed supplies and access to critical resources,” Stovall said in a press release. “Family wellness and healthy eating are important to a student’s success, and this event will provide information on these topics and others to Clayton County residents.”
