JONESBORO — Police said Monday they have not identified a suspect in a multiple shooting at the Level 2 Sports Bar and Grill on Saturday.
Six victims were shot and injured early Saturday at the popular bar and night club, located at 6510 Tara Blvd., according to the Clayton County Police Department. All victims are expected to survive the shooting.
Officers with the department were called to the bar at about 2:20 a.m. after a reported shooting. They located four gunshot victims in the parking lot.
“Clayton County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the scene to assess and treat the victims and subsequently transported them to local area hospitals with what was perceived to be non-life threatening injuries,” CCPD spokeswoman Sgt. Ashanti Marbury stated in a release.
Two additional gunshot victims left the bar prior to the officers’ arrival and checked themselves in to local hospitals for treatment.
Police are currently investigating the shooting. At this time, it is unclear if the shooting was the work of one gunman or if multiple shooters were involved.
“At this time, there have been no arrests made and no suspect has been identified,” Marbury stated Monday morning. “An update on the conditions of the victims has not been provided.”
