Judith Cembrock (Scheriff)
Mrs. Judith Scheriff Cembrock, age 78 of Griffin passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Eternal Hope Hospice.
Mrs. Cembrock was born on December 15, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Anthony Cembrock. Also her parents, Adam Scheriff and Mildred Aline Kohlman Scheriff; brother, George Scheriff. Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, John and Jenny Cembrock; daughter, Janine Cembrock; grandson, Jacob Cembrock; siblings and spouses, Joyce and Woody Schepperley; Denine and Brian Schepperley, and their children, Meagan and Page, Karen and Michael Gilson, and their children, Thomas and Lauren, Laura and Lily Hunnemeder-Bergfelt, Lisa and Ray Edwards, and their children, Jonathan and Cassie, Alan Scheriff, and children, Amanda and Ryan, and the late Danny Scheriff. Judy was married to the love of her life John Cembrock for 41 years. They met at JFK while working for the airlines. They moved to Boston shortly after they married and that is where John and Janine were born. She loved dancing with John at social gatherings and hosting parties at their home. They moved to Jonesboro, GA in 1970 with Northeast Airlines, which became Delta. Judy became part of the administration at Jonesboro Senior High School. She loved her family and adored her grandson Jacob. She made many friends over the years in Jonesboro, Sharpsburg and Sun City Peachtree in Griffin, GA. Judy was known for being a very fashionable dresser, color coordinating everything including all accessories. She loved to travel to visit out of state family and numerous trips abroad. Visitation for Mrs. Judith Cembrock will be Friday, September 13, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City. Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 W. McIntosh Rd, Griffin is in charge of arrangements.
