Judy (Mama Judy) Huggins
Mrs. Judy Marie Hicks Huggins, age 65, of Conley, was granted her angel wings on May 4, 2019. She was born in Atlanta, daughter of the late Charles Elden Hicks and Helen Marie Davis Hicks. Judy worked as an activities director at several nursing homes and was a cashier at Sam's Club. She enjoyed arts and crafts and ceramics. She was an avid cat lover and rescuer and a big supporter of law enforcement and the military. Judy was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Darriel Huggins, infant daughter, Hope Fortune, sister, Debi Irelan, brother, James Woods, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Austin "Red" and Emily Huggins.
She is survived by her children: Jamey Fortune of Conley and Annie Hicks of Oklahoma City, OK. She was known as Mama Judy to her grandchildren: Demetri Hicks and Reggie Williams; great-granddaughter: Haleigh Hicks; sister: Charlene Wilkins of Jackson; brothers: David Hicks of Tampa, FL and Larry Woods of Electra, TX; mother-in-law: Betty Huggins of Williamson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: David and Judy Huggins of Cumming; aunt: Dot Mincey of Zebulon; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, 12-2 p.m., at the funeral home.
Moody-Daniel Funeral Home in Zebulon is assisting the family with arrangements.
