Phillip Rutter
Phillip Alan Rutter, 40, died at his home in McDonough, GA on November 16, 2018. He was a 1996 graduate of Collierville High School, Collierville, TN and a 2003 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Mississippi State University. He was a veterinarian and owner of Lake Harbin Animal Hospital in Morrow, GA. In addition to his love of animals, he was on the board of directors of the Flint River Astronomy Club and appeared on stage many times in the past dozen years with the Henry County Players. He is survived by his parents, Roger and Barbara Rutter of Bell Buckle, TN and two brothers, Christopher Rutter of Indianapolis, IN and Brian Rutter of Antioch, TN. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on December 8, 2018 at St. Joseph Episcopal Church in McDonough, where he was a member. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Clayton County Humane Society or Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary, Locust Grove.
