FOREST PARK — Forest Park High defensive back Rayshawn Meiser has been named this week’s Clayton County Defensive Player of the Week by the Clayton News following his performance in last week’s loss to Drew.

Meiser finished the game with 14 tackles. He also accounted for more than 200 total yards and two touchdowns on offense. In all, the senior played 131 plays.

“Rayshawn had an awesome game starting on both sides of the ball for the first time,” Forest Park head coach Martez Edwards said. “His leadership and knowledge of the game sparked the defense and instantly made us a better defense. He also led our offense that put up 27 points.”
