Drew is coming into 2019 with a number of questions that need to be answered. The only bright spot is their talented running back and sleeper wide receiver.

There is a new head coach in town and the Titans are going to have to contend with several holes on the offensive and defensive side of the ball for this season.

First year head coach Steve Robinson is very excited to take over Drew and help guide them in the right direction.

“I’m excited,” Robinson said. “I’m excited to see where these kids are going to end up. Not just winning on the scoreboard but winning in life, I have great kids and great support so I’m just excited to see where we go from there.”

The Titans missed the playoffs in 2018 but they’ll have to contend with a few holes offensively. First step is the quarterback position. Before 2018, the Titans had to replace Gary Tyner and now they’ll have to find a replacement to Thomas Williams.

Williams was an offensive weapon that accounted for 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns. If the passing game doesn’t come to fruition, the Titans do have Derionte Kemp to carry the load. Kemp accounted for 1,372 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns.

The air game will have to center on Jovany Doe, Henrique Etienne and a few swing passes to Kemp if they hope to move the ball efficiently.

The defensive side of the ball is another concern to address for the Titans. They’ll be young with sophomore Montrell Henderson gaining more playing time this year with Blake Page being a solid junior defensive back alongside Jyree Dodson.

“I’m looking forward to seeing these kids develop as young men,” Robinson said. “From the very beginning I’ve been kind of amazed how these kids are taking to the process. We want to get into a habit where we are falling in love with the process, not just the result. We got a motto here where loyalty makes us family and we’re going to be loyal to everything that we do and the people surrounding us.”
