Jonesboro’s start to the 2019 season is eerily similar to 2018. Wins over Mount Zion and Woodland with a loss to Buford sandwiched in between but the only difference is this weeks opponent.
The Ware County Gators lost to Coffee last week, much like last season but an early loss to Rockledge brings a program searching to reach .500 on the season.
This will be the Cardinals’ final non-region test of the season comes off the heels of an impressive showing against Woodland last week. The Cardinals scored seven times in some way last week.
This match against Ware should be another step in solidifying what the Cardinals are looking for out of their program this year. Rasheed Singleton played a part in the game for the Cardinals while the running game churned out many big gains against Woodland.
Ware County was just slow to start with their sophomore quarterbacks who combined for 59 yards through the air. The Gators were able to pick up 123 yards on the ground but will have to find a way to stop Jonesboro’s fast defense.
