Mount Zion holds on for wild win over Drew (copy)

Kevin Jones and the Bulldogs dropped a close game to M.L. King Friday.

JONESBORO - The Mount Zion Bulldogs couldn't find lightning twice as M. L. King survived the 14-13 duel.

Mount Zion had it all working for them defensively, with Kamari Murphy and Nigel Cole picking off the Lions quarterback. Add in the pressure of five-and-a-half sacks the defense was stout.

The Bulldogs even caused four fumbles in the game but on special teams, M.L. King scored on a 65-yard punt return in the third quarter.

Mount Zion's offense came from an 89-yard Derionte Kemp run while Taariik Brett had a 36-yard reception touchdown.

The Kevin Jones led squad dropped to 1-3, 1-1 on the season.
