STATE BASKETBALL: Lovejoy outlasts Valdosta, advances to title match (copy)

Lovejoy’s Genesis Bryant (1) committed earlier this week.

LOVEJOY — The recruiting saga of Genesis Bryant came to an end earlier this week as the all-star athlete announced her commitment to North Carolina State University.

Using her personal Twitter, Bryant announced her decision.

“First and foremost, I want to give all glory and praise to my lord and savior Jesus Christ,” Bryant wrote.

“Without him, I wouldn’t be in the position I’m in today. He has gifted me with the ability to play this game at a high level. I also would like to thank my parents for the sacrifices they have made for my dreams. I would like to thank my family, friends and teammates for the constant support athletically and academically.

“Also, I would like to thank my FBC and Lovejoy family for providing me a platform for me to showcase my talents. And to my two coaches, Coach Jay and Coach King, I would like to thank them for pushing me to be the best version of ‘me’.

“A special thanks to all of the coaches that have recruited me throughout this process. Although this has been a very tough decision, I am verbally committing to North Carolina State University.”
