Season opening victory for Mundy's Mill behind a strong offense.

JONESBORO - Mundy's Mill did everything right Friday against McIntosh High and walked out the victors of a 40-7 victory over McIntosh.

The Tigers only had one blemish on their night where they failed to score on a two-point conversion but other than that it was smooth sailing for Mundy's Mill to victory.

Antoine Green threw a 99 yard pass for a score, Raheem Gaines rushed for 65 yards to score and another three for the second touchdown. Jaylen Grant caught a 48 yard screen pass, Crushon Jackson scored on a three-yard run, Tyraun Lane from special teams stripped the ball on a return for a 35 yard touchdown return while Raymond Ramirez went 4-for-5 on field goals.

Head coach Dwayne Davis says he's very proud of his team following the win.

"I'm very proud of team on coming out and handling the open drive for a touchdown and adding two more before half," Davis said. "The defense allowed McIntosh to put a drive together and score early. However, adjustments were made and the defense continued to bend and not break creating turnovers that allowed the offense to score."
