JONESBORO — The high school basketball regular season came to a close this weekend. Below are region tournament breakdowns for Clayton County teams.

Region 4-AAAAAA, Girls

The Region 4-AAAAAA girls tournament will be held at Tucker High School beginning Monday.

With their 49-39 win over Stephenson Friday, the Lovejoy Lady Wildcats locked up the No. 1 seed in next week’s region tournament, finishing the season with a 15-1 record. Lovejoy will play the winner of Monday’s matchup between MLK and Mount Zion in the quarterfinals on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Jonesboro and Forest Park finished with the same record in region play at 8-8. Jonesboro won the tie-breaker and finished as the No. 4 seed. The two teams will meet again in the quarterfinals Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The Mundy’s Mill Lady Tigers finished the regular season with a 7-9 region record and as the No. 6 seed. The Lady Tigers will take on Stephenson in the quarterfinals on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Drew will be the No. 7 seed. The Lady Titans will take on Tucker Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals.

The semifinals will be held at 4 and 7 p.m. Friday. The championship game is scheduled for Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Region 4-AAAAAA, Boys

The Region 4-AAAAAA boys tournament will be held at Tucker High School beginning Monday.

The Jonesboro Cardinals locked up the No. 1 seed with a perfect region record. The Cardinals will take on the winner of Monday’s matchup between MLK and Lovejoy in the quarterfinals.

MLK and Lovejoy finished as the final two seeds. The two teams will play Monday at 7:30 p.m. for the right to play Jonesboro Wednesday night.

Stephenson will be the No. 2 seed after finishing the season with a 13-3 record. As the second seed, Stephenson will play Mundy’s Mill, who finished as the No. 7 seed. That quarterfinal matchup is set for Tuesday at 8:30 p.m.

Tucker finished one game behind Stephenson with a 12-4 record as the No. 3 seed. The Tigers will play Drew Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals.

Forest Park finished as the No. 4 seed, while Mount Zion finished as the No. 5 seed. The two teams will play Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals.

The semifinals will be held Friday at 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m.

Region 3-AAAAA, Girls

The Region 3-AAAAA tournament will be held at Starr’s Mill High School.

The Morrow Lady Mustangs finished the season as the No. 5 seed with a 4-8 region record. The Lady Mustangs will play Starr’s Mill Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals.

The Riverdale Lady Raiders will play Fayette County Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals. Riverdale finished as the No. 7 seed with an 0-12 record.

Region 3-AAAAA, Boys

The Region 3-AAAAA tournament will be held at Starr’s Mill High School.

Riverdale finished tied for third in the region, but fell to the No. 4 seed due to a tie-breaker. The Raiders play Whitewater at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Morrow finished as the No. 7 team in the region and will face Starr’s Mill at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the quarterfinals.

Region 4-AAAA, Girls

North Clayton finished as the No. 2 seed and will face Druid Hills on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at North Clayton High. The Lady Eagles would play the winner of the Salem/Eastside matchup in the semifinals.

The Region 4-AAAA semifinals and finals will be held at Woodward Academy on Thursday and Friday.

Region 4-AAAA, Boys

The North Clayton Eagles will be the No. 5 seed. They will face Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Eastside High School. The winner of the North Clayton/Salem matchup will face No. 1 seed Henry County in the semifinals.

The Region 4-AAAA semifinals and finals will be held at Woodward Academy on Thursday and Friday.
